2012 Small Miracles Award Dinner Raised $25,000, Honored Community Advocate
The Center for Autism hosted is 2012 Small Miracles Award Dinner & Casino Night on Friday, March 30, 2012 at the Hilton Philadelphia City Avenue. The event raised $25,000, and honored Sabra Townsend with the Small Miracles Award in
recognition of her dedication to advocating for families and children with autism and special healthcare needs throughout Pennsylvania.
A passionate advocate for children with special needs and their families, Sabra Townsend has played a vital role in the Philadelphia community for many years. She is an active advisor of Autism Sharing & Parenting, a volunteer parent-run support organization for families of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
All proceeds from the event support the Center’s evaluation and treatment services for people with autism throughout Philadelphia. Former recipients of the award include, Governor Edward G. Rendell, Councilman Dennis O’Brien, Estelle B. Richman, Jeffrey Lurie, David Binswanger, Daniel Hilferty, Michael B. Laign, and Richard D. Wood, Jr.
